Logo Design

although it may seem a little random. I did run into this site that I helped design the logo for. I created the design for logo for the following site (King Turbo Motor Sports.) I designed the site based upon what a friend suggested. I took out a pad of paper and a pen and the following design happened. He wanted a Turbocharger and/or supercharger based for his picture. He is creating a web site around categorizing turbo and superchargers. Lets hope him luck and tell me what you guys think of my design?

Giving Mood

Well I felt like giving a good friend of mine a piece of artwork. She's about to have a baby. So I figured a very simplistic design would be fitting.
I was going to go with something like that double heart necklace by Jane Seymour that I see all the time but with bugs. Hopefully it turns out the way I want it to. Here is what inspired me. This and also a little doodle of a beetle I made.

New Piece

Got inspired the other day... saw this video and just had been doodling a very geometric design over this girl...decided to paint it...
here is the song SKEPTA - SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT (Official Video)

I drew her with pencil first onto the canvas. Then I touched it up with sharpie. Painted between the lines with acrylic paint. Finally I finished it up with a new layer of sharpie.

Here she is finished. had to add some more sharpie...not the best quality.

Mr. Brainwash

What is the movie Exit through the gift shop about?? It is a film made by Banksy but filmed by Mr. Brainwash. Mr. Brianwash is a Canadian filmmaker *cough* who is a cousin of Space Invader (another street artist).
This film shows some of the inner workings behind Obey, Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, and Space Invader. It is a representation glorifying street art in all forms. Some may call graffiti a crime but after watching this film I was even more inspired to create wheat pastes. For a view of the trailer

On the other hand, another film about graffiti but from another angle. This film is about Vigilantes who paint over graffiti. Is this cover-up just as bad as graffiti or a reclamation of the streets. Its a personal opinion. But this film seems to look into the views of these graffiti Vigilantes and their view of graffiti. This film was expected to be released late 2010. I am going to try and watch this film this weekend

Just because here is a random wheat paste I made that night.

Banksy

Here is a brief list of some well known street artists…trust me I know I’m forgetting a ton.
Currently the most notorious street artist is Banksy. He is an unknown British male. Check out his site Banksy’s Website
Banksy is not one of the originals. Blek le rat was stenciling long before Banksy. He’s street art is not as well known but is of a similar caliber. Blek Le Rat’s Website
Another artist is Dolk. Dolk also uses political imagery similar to Banksys. Dolk is much darker with his art. He throws in suicides and gas masks into his works. Dolk doesn’t have a true website but a google images works fine.
Space Invader has a unique style. He creates tiled murals of retro video games and other famous pieces.
Lastly is the most well known wheat paster around Shepard Fairey aka Obey. Fairey started with a picture of Andre the Giant and has placed the image everywhere (from the streets of London to the top of New York Skyscrapers.) Obey’s Website

My first post

What will I be doing? What am I saying? I am going to be uploading pieces of art I have done or images/sounds/articles or anything that inspires me.

I general paint/draw/wheat paste street inspired works or general pop art. As always keep inspired.

(I forget where I saw this picture but I stumbled upon will site next time where I find it from)
